Here's a night shot of the new Al Zampa Memorial Bridge, the suspension bridge which will replace the Carquinez Bridge on Interstate 80. This image was taken during the bridge's construction; it's not lighted currently although this may change when the bridge opens later this year. (Some students at Franklin Middle School have put together a great page on the bridge that you can find here. You can also find information about the bridge here, on a page put together by Mark Ketchum.)
a thunderstorm, a meteorological rarity for the Bay Area. (It's a bit blurred from the rain on the window.)
